Sequel to a recent discussion I had initiated regarding a megasession to restore a virgin NW6 scalp using largely BHT, questions were justly raised regarding the precedence for such: http://www.hairlosshelp.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=48&threadid=68615
The fact is that my clinic has had several successes with BHT megasession, hence the decision to take that case was not without basis. The patient involved has actually travelled vast distances to meet up with one of my BHT megasession patients that goes by the name Heliboy on various hairloss forums.
I understand the trepidations when it comes to BHT. I will in subsequent months do a better job of presenting more BHT related cases on this forum.
Let us start with "Heliboy"
The patient participates in various forums as Heliboy
He is NW 6 with history of several failed strip surgeries. The problems that resulted from his prior surgeries included poor growth, severe pitting and poor angle graft placement. At the end of all these procedures he was still bald in the NW 6 areas with the aforementioned problems. He resorted to wearing a hairpiece for these reasons.
The foregoing is a photodiary highlighting the transformation he has undergone following 3 BHT-only sessions that entailed implanting about 11,000 grafts to his NW 6 area. The foregoing photos represent the state of affairs 1 year after his first BHT session with me.
The graft tally to that point was as follows:
1. ~7,500 BHT-only grafts to his frontal/hair line and mid-scalp;
2. ~3500 BHT-only BHT grafts to his crown.
3. Over 2000 BHT-only grafts to huge strip scars.
All “after” photos were taken under direct natural light in the clinic patio. HeliBoy feels confident enough to maintain a
buzz cut.

Within weeks of surgery, the chest shows virtually no sign of procedure.
This is the chest and abdomen as seen 5 months after 2 procedures
in which a total of 6150 hair units have been extracted

separate procedures
THE RELIEF
Within 7 months of his 1st surgery, Heliboy is able to ceremoniously discard the hairpiece he has worn for over a decade
HEliboy has since had surgeries to address his strip scars. He has had his hairline further advanced. His updates would continue in due course.
